What does a coach
do?
A skilled coach can
help you understand yourself and how you succeed ( and what holds
you back) and act as and independent sounding board for your ideas
and issues. Your coach will inspire you to:
- Create a clear and compelling
design of the future
- Identify the resources, skills,
attitudes and beliefs that you will need to succeed
- Create an achievable yet stretching
plan of action
- Make changes to the way you
think and act
- Stick to your plans, achieve
your goals and continue to learn
How does it work
in practice?
After the initial
set up session (typically 2 hours), coaching will take place in
a small group of up to 6 people and is usually around 2 two hour
sessions each month. This regular approach ensures that you maintain
focus on your goals and that the coach can help you be accountable
for doing what you are going to achieve. Phobia workshops also
include and additional "facing your fear" session.
Coaching usually lasts
for a minimum of three months during which you will receive eight
hours of dedicated attention when your coach will focus on you
and what you are going to achieve. Having someone else focus on
you in this way with full confidence that you can achieve whatever
you want has been described as one of the most liberating experiences.
