  INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE

Originated by women in India, traditionally practised within the family and passed down from generation to generation this therapy is an integral part of Indian lifestyle.

This treatment includes massage of head, neck & shoulders. (Slightly changed version compared to the one used in India to suit the West)

Indian Head Massage promotes both physical and psychological relaxation, allowing the receiver to experience a deep sense of inner peace, tranquility and wellbeing, it reduces muscular tension and improves the circulation of blood and lymphatic fluid. This oxygenates the cells, flushing out toxins. It also stretches and mobilises the tissues of the neck and shoulders, stimulates and improves scalp circulation, which promotes texture combined with strength and growth of hair. It relaxes the scalp and tones up subcutaneous muscles, thus helping to relieve headaches, eyestrain and improve your concentration. The benefits include deep relaxation of the entire body, relief from tense muscles, headaches, migraines, eye strain etc. and induces sound sleep, sense of calmness and peace.

Indian Head Massage helps:

  • Reduce PMS
  • Diminish stress
  • Balance the brain's energy
  • Improve the immune system
  • Release shoulder and neck strain
  • Reach a deep state of relaxation
  • Reduce headaches and eye strain
  • Reduce muscular and nervous tension
  • Flush out physical and emotional toxins
  • Improve the strength and growth of hair

It is a very safe, simple, yet an effective way of relieving aches and pains of today's busy lifestyle.

The Indian Head Massage therapy session is done with the recipient sitting upright in a chair. During the session the recipient remains fully clothed, only requiring to remove any jewellery which may obstruct the therapy.

The Indian Head Massage incorporates thumb and finger pressure, friction as well as soothing motions. It also includes a massage of the shoulders, neck scalp and face.

A session can be 1/2 hour or 1 hour.
