CHILDREN'S
MILLENIUM CLINIC |
The Children's Millennium
Clinic was opened in January 2000 by two homeopaths, Deirdre Owen
and Carey Blanden.
"We hope that
parents who are on benefits or low incomes will use our services.
We are open on the last Saturday morning of every month.
Three homeopaths and
a Reiki practitioner work for us. Reiki is a form of healing and
is very calming for hyperactive children and for disabled children.
The therapists give their services free of charge. All the client
pays for is the homeopathic remedy which is usually about £4
- £5.
If you can afford
to pay for homeopathic treatment then there is no need to use
this Clinic. Just phone North Lakes Clinic and book an appointment
for your child with one of our homeopaths.
Some of the conditions
we have treated in the last four years - asthma, eczema, lowered
immune system, chronic depression, bossiness, bedwetting, hyperactivity,
attention deficit disorder, children with cerebral palsy, homesickness,
six month old baby with severe constipation, croup, coughs, bites
& stings".

CMC was founded in
January 2000 and relies on funding from local
organisations and our own fund-raising.
Our plans for the future are that the Children’s Millennium Clinic will open once a week, maybe on a Wednesday afternoon, 51 weeks a year. There will always be an appointment available for an urgent condition that has just arisen, such as a high temperature, insect sting or bite, first signs of colds and flu, so it will be possible to phone that morning for an appointment. We will continue to treat families on benefits and low incomes.
At the present time we are working on raising funds to enable the clinic to take place once a week. If anyone is able to help us, please phone Carey Blanden on 01900 829067.
