HOW DOES IT WORK?
The Amber-Mist(TM)
Tanning formula is Aloe Vera based and contains 8% of the active
ingredient DHA (dihydroxyacetone). DHA reacts with amino acids
in the outer layers of the skin causing it to darken naturally
over a period of 24 hours. This formula also contains a water
soluble instant bronzer to ensure an even application of DHA.
The instant bronzer will give you an 'instant' tan effect and
can be washed off after 8 hours as by then the DHA will have absorbed
into the skin's surface.
HOW LONG DOES IT
LAST?
The tan will last
up to six days and can be reapplied as often as required. A full
body application takes just 15 minutes to apply and 5 minutes
to dry. The result is the most natural looking tan you will get
without any of the dangers associated with UV light. This formula
also contains skin conditioners and moisturisers for glorious
results every time.
IS IT SAFE?
DHA is a natural ingredient
derived from sugar cane! It is FDA approved for cosmetic use and
has no known side effects. The Amber-Mist(TM) formula also contains
polymer technology to ensure the perfect adhesion and absorbtion
rates for fantastic, streak free, results.
BEFORE AN APPLICATION
For best possible
results, you should ideally shower and exfoliate before each application.
Do not apply any moisturiser, deodorant, perfume etc. as this
will change the PH of your skin and will prevent even absorbtion
of DHA. Moisturiser acts as a barrier to DHA and you should apply
some to the palms, elbows, knees and shins for a more natural
effect. Remove all jewellry and wear loose fitting cotton clothes.
DURING AN APPLICATION
Hold the arms out
away from the body until the solution has fully dried. DHA only
reacts with skin and therefore you need not worry about getting
it on your hair, nails etc. The instant bronzer may rub off on
clothes but is water soluble and washes out of most fabrics except
silk and some type of nylon. Ensure that you do not perspire during
the application as this may prevent the solution from absorbing
evenly in to the skin.
AFTER AN APPLICATION
DHA takes 8 hours
to fully absorb in to the skin. It is essential that you keep
completely dry for this period. Avoid any activity that may cause
you to perspire. The instant bronzer may be washed off after 8
hours as by then the DHA tan will have begun to develop. The DHA
tan takes 24 hours to fully develop and will last up to six days.
Moisturise daily to keep your tan looking it's very best. The
Amber-Mist(TM) Tanning formula is designed to be used on a weekly
basis.
